Prof. Yong Jin, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Tsinghua University, is the President of Chemical Science and Technology Research Institute. He has been engaged in chemical engineering research and technology innovation, focusing on high-speed fluidized multiphase fluid mechanics, heat transferring, mass transferring, reaction kinetics, simulation and modeling, reactor analysis, design and development (including turbulent bed, circulating bed and downstream bed fluidized technology), clean chemical process, gas - liquid – solid and liquid - solid circulating fluidized bed synthesis, moving bed reformation, chemical reaction-reaction and the reaction-separation coupling, powder technology (including ultrafine powder synthesis, coating modification, drying, blending and pneumatic conveying), and eco-industrial engineering and industrial ecology park planning.

Prof. Jin published more than 350 papers, 138 of which were selected by SCI. He holds more than 20 patents, which was applied in industrial processes reconstruction and development and achieved major benefits. He was awarded the Second Prize of National Technology Invention, the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Advancement, and other ministry level awards. He was awarded National May 1st Labor Medal.
